GRANT COUNTY PORT DISTRICT NO. 1 REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS INTERMODAL YARD RAIL TRACK EXTENSION Grant County Port District No. 1 is requesting qualified engineers to submit statements of qualification to perform a scope of work, which includes preliminary engineering and design engineering services for a 1-mile rail track extension at the Port's Intermodal Yard at Industrial Park No. 4. For more information about this project, contact Mr. Pat Connelly, Port Commissioner, at (509) 237-3244. Interested firms shall note that the Port will base their selection on firms that specialize in providing municipal engineering services. The criteria used in the selection process will include: knowledge of and past relationship with the Port; knowledge of and past relationship with BNSF; expressed interest in the project and the Port; relative experi- ence; physical proximity to the Port; and references. Firms desiring consideration shall submit a complete qualification package and any other pertinent data to further assist the selection committee in evaluating the firm's qualifications to Ms. Sherry Har- rington, Executive Assistant, Grant County Port District No. 1,840 "F" Street SW, Quincy, WA 98848, (509) 787-3715. Five copies of the qualification package, not exceeding 10 double-sided pages, should be submitted to arrive no later than 5:00 PM (local time) on March 7, 2014. The Port may choose to select a firm based on submittals received, or proceed with interviews. This project may be funded through various state and federal sources. As a result, cost plus percentage of construction cost contracts will not be allowed and a number of state and federal equal opportunity and affirmative action requirements will apply to the selection process and conduct of the project.
